Jesus, we watch as you pray in the garden in darkness. We listen in wonder as you agonize over what is about to happen. You pray with sweat like blood drops while your closest friends sleep. So Lord, as we begin this journey with you help us to follow closely. Awaken us from our sleepy ways. Strengthen us in our own hour of trouble. With those who have observed this pathway for centuries we pray:
We adore you, Lord Jesus, and we bless you, for by your very cross you have redeemed the world. We believe this, Lord. Amen.
